1. Stone age
Simple and uncomplicated life, yet not terribly sophisticated. Your life expectancy would be 30 or 35 years.
2. Roman times
Lots of 'modern' technology, such as sanitation and take aways, but also a time of wars and political intrigues.
3. Medieval period
Sex was not yet a sin and the New World was being discovered but life was hard with the Black Death and crusades.
Which age would you rather have lived in of the three and why?

I could have picked North America just after the arrival of the Mayflower, Victorian times, China during the first dynasty or something else but I didn't. Okay, so my focus might be on Europe but hey - that is where I live :-)

While the Stone Age has its appeal.. such a simple life, merely living to live; spending every day preparing for the next, or for the winter, etc, I think I'd have to go for the Medieval. Although, it must be said that I'd only want to live then if I was rich! Being poor in the Medieval times would have been hellish. Life was a lot more simple then.
I think I would have also liked the 1800s.. Queen Victoria's reign.. Just swanning around wearing big dresses and teasing men.. Yes please! hehe.

I have to say either the Stone age or Roman times. I think the Stone age as I could maybe help change the course of history but I would also like to have lived as a plebian in the city of Rome so that I could have an easy life. Also I loved the time periods you picked.

I moved out of my parent's place at age 16. Lived with my cousins since then, until I turned 18. At age 17 I was already looking for a place of my own here in San Francisco. No roomates. 100% privacy. No one to tell me what to do around my place. If I want to throw parties, I'm free to do it, without my parents checking up on me all the time, or grounding me. According to my friends' comments regarding roomates, it's a very risky thing to do. Unless you know the person for years, you might end up having an irresponsible roomate. I love living on my own. I come home whenever I want to. My only companion is my cat...very good kitty.

Living in North America during the Stone Age wouldn't have been so bad. Life expectancies might have been much higher, even.
Life in North America would still be great during the Roman times, as would life in much of Africa.
Life in the Middle East would have been nice during the Medieval period, and much of Africa and Asia, too.
Your question seems to center almost entirely on Europe. The descriptions you give are more applicable to location than time period.

The periods you mentioned are very interesting but I think I would still choose to live in this day and age because, the pacing of the time now is so dynamic and at the same time full of complexities. Although there are many hard times, this period thought us the true meaning of life which is love, sacrifice and hardwork. These attributes definitely completes our inner self.

stone age i guess. there would be so many things to yet discover even if you have a short life, its gonna be an exciting one. the other years are full of wars and people constantly killing other people. the stone age is before all this. who cares if you only like to be about 30? you would probably get killed around that age in the other years and it would hurt more.

I'd definately pick the Roman times. I watch Rome on HBO and those people looked like they knew how to party!
