Only if you flail around like an idiot. I'd say if you're looking for video games to make you sweat, get Dance Dance Revolution or that workout game for Xbox.

The Wii helps people lose weight because they get up off their chairs and move around. Similarly, going to the gym, walking around the block, chasing ducks in the park, or bench pressing small to medium sized children will also help you lose weight.
My preference (being in Southern California) is to go to a theme park, because I don't realize how much I've walked all day until I get home, because I'm having fun. That's the key to the Wii. You're having so much fun you don't realize it's exercise. Depending on how much you're enjoying the game and for how long, it could be more exercise than you get in a typical day (especially a typical gaming experience). You may not lose a ton of weight, but it'll probably help. =)

Ive read lots of reports and newspaper reviews that people have said that is helped them loose weight. I guess if your exercising or moving around, like u do playin wii, then you would probably keep in shape. It also depends on how long you play 4, and which game your playin.

Well you probably heard that stupid dumb story of the kid that
played the Wii and lost weight. Well sorry to break it to you but
the kid didnt eat as much cause he was spending less time
eating and more time playing with the Wii.
The Wii is addictive for KIDS
Well happy gaming
