If money was divided equally maybe, but if a poor person gets £2000 and so does a rich person, then the divide is the same and costs would go up anyway!? But then I admit that I am a cynic!!!!

I believ someone worked this out once. What if we all had an equal share of money, ie. all the money in the world was split evenly between everyone in the world?
The answer was pretty crappy. I think (it was a couple of years ago so not only is my memory failing, I think inflation would have a huge impact on it) the sum was £12 each...

Sorry, no. It's a nice idea, but basic maths also stands in the way. If everybody in the world sent everybody else in the world a fixed sum, say, US$1.00, then it would all cancel out, and we would all wind up with the same overdraft tomorrow, sadly. It only works if everyone in the world sends ONE PERSON a fixed sum, say US$1.00, in which case that person winds up a multi billionaire. If we all sent money to each other, nothing would change, because we would all be recieveing AND giving away money all the time, so everyone would stay about the same.

First: not everyone has money to send.
Second: If everyone only sent one other person money, then everyone would receive what they gave out.
