9/11 reminded us all for awhile, but it has since been put in the backs of many peoples minds. We all need to realize that all this hating and profiling isn't worth it because we are all going to die someday. Instaed of worrying about everyone else, lets just put our differences aside and work together for a better tomorrow for our children. Otherwise, whats the point of life?

Way to go stillstanding. I feel the same way every time I hear stories like that. Life is far to short to squander it with greed and posessions.

Watching the evening or nightly news.
That does it for me.
Yesterday on my local news station a grandmother and teenage granddaughter where driving home from church on Sunday, and it was snowing, so when they drove across a bridge with ice on it, the car slid and did a donut right through the guardrail and off the bridge into the rushing river below.
Both of them died almost instantly.
Regardless of whether or not calamitous events like 9/11 happen around me, I have suffered enough personal life-and-death events to know exactly how short, fleeting, and fragile human life is.
Nation-effecting events like 9/11 just reinforce my constant awareness of human mortality.

Some here have said they strongly dislike the show "24" however, it was a mind opener for me of what can still happen.
If that is not a strong reminder of how fragile life can be then other than that you need to have a near death experience to remind you of your own mortality.

Um.. no? It purely annoys me often times to be the only skinny human being interior the homestead and word particular chunky family members overloading their plate properly previous a sensible percentage at the same time as there is otherwise no longer a lot nutrients interior the homestead... heavily, a number of which will be left overs so there is something for tomorrow.

I think that it will take the draft. I say this because right now, the people who are dying are not people I know, and especially not people that our politicians know. They are mostly the children of poor people. Until this affects us all, I don't think we have a strong enough reminder. At least, I think that it is not enough of a reminder to the people who decide (the decider, for example).

The point of life is death, there is not going to be a better tomorrow and the world is coming to an end, it is written in the book of revolution {the bible}.

The point isn't peace love and harmony. Without strife you cannot measure how far you have come. Don't take the motivation out of the day with sunshine and lollypops.

Unfortunately, it is human nature to not think of your own morality until faced with a life and death situation. That could be the illness or death of a close-one or simply an atrocity.

If only it were that easy. As long as the world is overrun with greed, religious disputes, prejudice and envy, there will never be peace and tranquility in this life.

Pleasant idea...but not anywhere near likely to occur.
It's the epitome of human nature. It can't be changed.
