READ THIS: Ill take you STEP BY STEP:
1) Download a "DVD Ripper" free trial off the internet (eventually you can buy the full version). I have "Magic DVD Ripper" and it works fine.
2) Insert your DVD & follow your DVD ripper's instructions of how to rip (upload) the DVD.
3) Download a "Video Converter" off the the internet. I have AVS Video Converter. It's also fine.
4) Convert the ripped DVD to "MP4" (a file type). Or chose the file type that says iPod.
5) Open iTunes and click File>Add File to Library>Click Insert on your video.
6) Poof! You good to go!

it is possible. First you will have to find a DVD ripping program then a program that can convert the movie files into iPod format. I would search on VersionTracker.com for a DVD ripper and iPod converter and hopefully you will be able to find some good free ones. Hope that helps.

dvds come in mp2 file format. ipods need mp4 format, to do this u need a converter. there probably arent any free converters, but winxmedia has a dvd to ipod ripper for not that much. its called dvd to mp4 converter or something. it works great. all u have to do is put the dvd in ur comp, and press the record button. then u go to import on ur itunes and then it goes to ur ipod.
