I am 10 weeks pregnant with my first baby, I am looking forward to feel him or her move!

When do first time moms usually feel the baby move?

How will I know what it feels like?

What was your experience with your first baby moving?

Early on it is kind of hard to distinguish between the baby moving and your own bodily functions...ya know like gas and stuff, but it usually feels like light flutters at first and as time goes by it they get stronger feeling. I didn't feel my baby move til i was 17 weeks.

Usually first time moms dont feel any movement at least until 16-18 weeks if that ...At first it will just be "flutters" and u wont really notice them at times if u even notice them at all...Some women dont know when it happens because they cant determine whther its gas or the baby..The first flutters or u can call it "quickening" will be felt in yor lower abdomen most likely in the middle but can happen anywhere from the right to the left. How I describe it is popcorn popping or little goldfish swimming and popping around..U will not be able to see it and if u sit real still and concentrate u may be able to feel it,later on though since this is your first...U will notice the more prominent kicks and sticks when u hit 23 weeks and up...Good Luck!

I didn't feel my baby move until around 20 weeks but some first time moms feel their baby move earlier. It is hard to describe what it feels like because it is so different from woman to woman but you will know when it happens.

First timers usually feel it after week 20, moms more than once usually can feel it earlier as they know what it feels like. Some say it feels like gas bubbles or butterflies fluttering. It may happen a few times before you realize that that's what it is. Congrats.

I was almost 5 months pregnant when I finally felt my baby move. I was in the theater watching Superman Begins when I felt a poke in my stomach. It was the weirdest feeling. It kind of surprised me. It was a great moment. I loved feeling my baby move after that.

It usually depends on the woman. I felt my little girl moving when I was 5 months pregnant. But my sister felt her little boy moved when she was a month pregnant. Every girl is different so dont worry you will know when your baby moves.

Typically you can feel the baby move the 1st time between 16-18 weeks and it will feel like butterflies in your tummy. However; don't worry if you don't right away - soon enough you'll feel him/her moving so much you'll wish it would quit!

Just wait till your baby gets hiccups!

With first time mothers it's anywhere between 16-22 weeks really. I first felt mine at about 18 weeks, it wasn't bubbles or anything like that just little kicks to my abdomen...i got such a shock! Just like being prodded from the inside! Good luck with your pregnancy anyway, it won't be too long 'till you feel something. xXx
