he came over and gave me and my husband this proposal called "TEAM" it's a way to make money by purchasing things that you already buy on a weekly basis. The way you save money is by cutting out all the middle men from the manufacturer to the customer....ex wholesaler, advertising, local wholesaler ect. The product comes directly to you from the manufacturer. The percent that you save on the inbetween stuff your supose to get back as a pay check. The more people you sign up under you, the more of a percentage you save on the products you buy, which then generates into a bigger paycheck. This sounds really too good to be true, and i was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of it, and if it's a scam?

First of all, it's not a pyramid scheme...which most people cannot define when I ask them what they mean by that. They say "The guy at the top makes all the money and the ones at the bottom make nothing!" Show me any company in the world where the people at the bottom earn less than the people at the top, which is pretty much every business, and I'll show you a true example of a pyramid scheme.

Anyway (Geesh!)

What you are being offered here is an opportunity with Amway/ Quixtar. Someone has created the Team and is really getting the word out there. Notice how they never mentioned who their parent company is? Because most people run for the hills when they hear Amway/Quixtar and now....The Team.

Their marketing method is simply multi-level marketing. Which is 100% legitimate and legal, it's merely a different way of marketing a product than through mortar and brick stores.

What you need to look at here is the actual company. It is known for it's cult-like recruiting methods and has given the rest of us a bad name. They use sneaky methods to get people to meetings and then drop the logic on you. The idea of purchasing products you already use from your own "store" is a good one. The problem is your market. Most of the baby boomers are empty nesters now, and traditionally, they have always been your largest market. They no longer use $350/mo worth of home products because their children are no longer at home. What I'm trying to say is that ship has sailed...long ago.
They also have not updated their compensation plan, so the large incomes were earned years ago when everyone was on board for this kind of thing. Your biggest challenge would be signing people up under you.
The concept of eliminating the middle man is apparent in all Direct Sales companies, but some have a much better product and a far more lucrative compensation plan.

So, in answer to your question, it's not a scam, just a very difficult way to earn a living. I recommend shopping around for other Network Marketing companies and doing a comparison.
Look at who your market is as well. The baby boomers are looking for health and anti-aging now and they have the most disposable income as well as being very open to another stream of income. It's the business I have chosen for all of the reasons above.

I'm not sure what company it is but I do something similar with environmentally friendly non-toxic products and am building an internation business. The people I refer to be customers as well I do get a monthly check on. See my profile and email since yahoo doesn't like for us to relay links. Good Luck!

this is called a pyramid scam. he gets you and other people to buy stuff from him, then the only way you can make money is for people to buy things from you. it is a very basic scam, don't fall for it.

Yes there are a few of us around. What i have seen is most of the woman rather be layed up with a pig that has 10 pounds of earrings all over his body and not have nothing to offer than to be with a man that is stable and secure and can give her aleast most of what she would like to have. And not worry about the next meal and no Mcds please i mean a real meal.

It will cause you to spend more money than usual on everyday products. It is legal but you have to sign a lot of people up and they have to spend a ton of money before you make any real money.

Multi Level Marketing is pyramiding no matter how they try and disquise it... do something else unless you just want to make a lot of other people rich off your misery.
