Yes I would. My girlfriend did that for me and it was very kind of her. I knew I was gay but just wasn't ready to come out to my parents. Some three months later I did though.
I think I just needed that gentle shove and to be sure I was heading in the right direction. I think if one person can do that and help someone out then why can't I

I just had that conversation yesterday with a really beautiful man I was considering dating.
He is a professional dancer and not out.....I can ALMOST (not quite) accept a closeted teacher, or NASCAR driver....but a freaking dancer?
So the short answer is no I wouldn't date someone who isn't out....at least to their family and friends......I will not spend Christmas alone or be introduced as a roommate or friend.

It would DEPEND on their REASON for not being out. If it was a realistic reason, then yes, I would have to accept it IF I loved that person. Otherwise NO, simply because I don't believe living a lie. Besides, my 1/2 of the relationship would be OUT and my family would know and accept and that would help alot.
So, it would depend on the reason!

ACtually, yes I would, but I'm bi. Most of the women I've dated have all been out,so,I can't imagine dating someone who wasn't. But I myself think it's nobody's business but my own,I don't like pda much, even if I'm with a man, don't think anything other than holding hands is ok in public

I wouldn't be able to date someone who wasn't openly gay/bi around their friends. I don't really believe dating is the parents' business personally, so I would be ok with them hiding it fro their parents, as long as it didn't make them depressed. Negativity is never attractive. However, I'm not sure they would date, because I am so openly effeminate that it would be hard for their parents not to know they were dating me if their parents ever met me.

I would, simply b/c I am not completely out myself. When I say that I mean I am not out to my parents but my friends and one of my brothers already know and if my other two brothers lived in the same state as me they would also know.

It would depend on the person. I've been down that path once. I can't swear I'd never do it again, but it wasn't fun the first time.

No i would not. I've already been there & done that and i was miserable! In this stage of my life, I would only date women who were out and completely comfortable with themselves and her sexuality.
