Better question would be what is it like to be debt free? Most rich people still have debt, they still have worries, probably more worries than those with less. They need to teach more fiscal responsibility in school. America has a debt problem from the top to the bottom of the social scale. I owe no credit cards, I own my home by paying off the bottom. I turned a 30 year loan into a 5.5 year loan. I owe basic utilities, medical insurance, vehicle insurance and home owners insurance. I also owe taxes each year including property tax. If I do not have the cash to purchase something I want, I save it till I can pay cash. I do not own Ipods, and bs I do not need.

Still working on that one. However, studies have shown that people that make an average living are just as happy as the rich. And that the very wealthy are much more likely to kill themselves than the average Joe. So being rich isn't the panacea to human existence. If you are not happy now you won’t be if you are rich. You will have a honeymoon with the money and then feelings of extreme loneliness and hopelessness can overtake you. I've heard the hopelessness happens once you realize the money didn’t fix your problems and actually made some worse. You're rich and not happy so now where do you turn? And, according to Robert Kiyosaki of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” many people who have money live in fear of losing it, and their fear grows bigger the more money they have.

Ask bush and cheney. When april 15th comes, you can buy a new house with your tax return. On your second paycheck of the year you're done contributing to Social Security, your kids will never see the inside of a public school. When you retire you can travel the world and be waited on until you die and idle and peaceful death. Your worst problem is wondering why your kids are so rotten.
If most Americans knew what life was really like for rich people and what they spend their time worrying about they would become sick to their stomach. After spending a week in that world they would become physically ill when they hear people like Bush complaining about the "death tax.", which affects trust fund babies that inherit more than 2 million dollars that grandma and grandpa were too stupid to put into a tax shelter.

Is that what rich is? Being a millionaire?
How about healthy and happy and the same for those around you?
If you have enough money to feel secure, that's all you need. Most Americans are rich.
Being rich means you're happy with what you have. Some people can't be rich no matter how much money they have.

I imagine it would be pretty sweet...with money being no option you could choose many courses in life. You could become a great philanthropist and give to (or establish) meaningful charities. You could first-handley make a difference. If not all this at least you would have an awesome car, no bills, and anything else you desired!

Take a look at a good portion of 'rich people'. They aren't happy. Money doesn't make you happy. Rich people have proved that over and over and over. Nothing can replace a good family that you love and that loves you!

The simple answer to describe being rich is being content within yourself, to be able to do what makes you happy in life and to be able to help the ppl you love.
Being rich is not about having more money than others. It is about being rich within yourself with great things life has given you.
