How do I record sounds from my pc??

I want to record a radio program that is online (in the Internet) and I have Sony Acid Pro 6.0d, can I use for that?? And how do I record something that "sounds" in my pc, because i tried to record it from the Acid and it wouldn't record anything.

I bought an Alesis Multimix 8USB mixer, and it works like a charm with Audacity. Links to both are provided below. Audacity is free. The mixer cost about $150.

Also, I'm not sure if this works, but it's worth a shot:
Try taking a two-sided 1/8" mono & stereo jack and run it from your speaker out to your mic in.
