Ok so I had the same problem as you, I was always nervous and tense so my finger nails weren't looking so good. I really had a serious problem and I just couldn't stop biting them. What I did was buy this special paint which is like nail polish but it's colourless and bitter tasting. And by bitter I mean VERY BITTER. It's really repelling and works like magic. Everytime you want to bite your nails you will taste that awful thing and you will never want to experience it again. It has really worked for me. Hope you can try it too!

Wear gloves so you taste cotton all the time if you want to bite. Or hold a small object like a ball in your hand to distract your brain from the habit. Apparently you can also get this special bad-tasting nail polish from the drugstore that discourages you from nibbling. And try visualizing your going through a whole day without biting. Good luck!

OK I'm 46 and had bitten my nails all of my life for the last 2 years I have grown long beautiful strong (like you wouldn't believe) nails. What I did was get false nails put on until yours grow a little and then keep them filed so there is no rough bits to get your attention and start nibbling on cause I have noticed if I get sharp bits I wants to put them into my mouth.Once you get started you wont go back Good luck

Well you could dip the ends of your fingers in a liquid that is bitter or something that you dont like the taste of like Vanilla extract it bitter and u can find it in the baking aisle or get like something really spicy and put it on your nails. If these work for you then you will have trained yourself to think that your nails taste bad and you will always have that memory imprinted in your brain so help I could help

Go to a nail shop and get acrylic. You can't bite those if you try. Keep getting acrylic till you break the habit.

Try putting rubber gloves on and you can chew
on them as long as you like, but you'll
eventually stop, because of the horrible
tasting rubber. That's what fixed my habit.
