What are the pro's and con's in working at A & F ? Can clothes from the winter season be worn during the spring season? If a clothing you are wearing goes on clearance, can you still wear it or do you have to buy something else ? And how often do you have to buy clothes during the winter, spring, and summer season ?

I dont work at A&F but I work at Hollister which is owned by Abercrombie and it's the same company. Yes you can wear just about anything you want as long as it doesn't display other brands and it resembles something you would find at Abercrombie(in my case hollister). They can't legally force you to buy their clothes.... Although we all do anyway. At hollister they encourage us to buy HCO clothes by giving us a 20% dicount (i think A&F get 30%) and then when new items come out for the next season we get 40% of those items for a 2 - 3 week period. However, we CANT use our discount on clearance stuff, even though we are still allowed to buy it and wear to work if we want. They try and "encourage" us to buy the new stuff, and wear the new colors (just changed to blue and green, winter was red and gray) but we dont have to at all... we just do... haha. 40% off is great way to encourage us haha.... I have to be careful though, because there have been times when I got paid, and my check basically never made it out of the store (or the mall)....

Pros:
-Fun atmosphere
-Cool co-workers
-Discount
-Easy Job
-Free cologne and perfume at work (haha)

Cons:
-Minimum wage...
-Folding clothes til 1am after closing during holiday shopping
-Also mall parking during peak times
-Lunch everyday at the food court adds up!

I really cant complain though because it's not a hard job at all...
