think locally, act globally....

that means that if you do what is right in YOUR life, others will see that and follow your example. you can't hope to fix all the world's problems on your own, so have a go at fixing your own and show an example!

You are not alone, many Americans had no idea of others around them until that horrible event that changed their lives for ever. For some it was Pearl Harbor, and for some of us it was 911 others it happened when they lost a child to War or a parent, or they saw innocent people being harmed for assentially no reason. This is human nature, and when we are young we are blind to the fact that there is such suffering and pain. The thing you need to remember here is, now you know, and you can make a difference so do.
