The best FORD is Found On Road Dead...All Fords' are terrible!

The worst car that I think Ford ever made was the F-series around late 90's and around 2001. The F-series, especially the F-150 and F-250 were very poor in safety and had major problems. They has some recalls, but had caused a pretty big issue on Ford's truck line. That series was also prone to have failed many crash and safety tests miserably. The truck's body would collapse and cause a great amount of the impact to crush the truck with unequal force. You can check it out and see as Ford used to have some pretty rough times with this line of trucks. The F-Series now is one of the best I know. The present F-Series has improved drastically and is known to be one the best crafted as they say...."Built Ford Tough."

The Edsel was a make of automobile manufactured by the Ford Motor Company during the 1958, 1959, and 1960 model years. The car brand is best known as one of the most spectacular failures in the history of the United States automobile industry.

Ford has a few in there past. Tempo for sure, the ford trucks of 80's 90's Interestingly Ford holds a pattent for heated tailgates (keeps your hands warm while pushing a broke down F-150 off to the shoulder) but there recent reliablity negated installing them just yet.

I would agree with "me" and "give it to me" concerning the Ford Pinto. My sister had an orange and white one in which we would drive to school. It was a cornucopia of automotive insults. Besides being ugly, it was slow but the mileage was bad. It promptly rusted, had no real backseat and I remember the heater taking a vacation in the dead of winter. There was a Ford recall to address the bursting-into-flame when rear-ended problem - a shield was placed on the differential to prevent the gas tank from being punctured.

Incidentally, the Ford Edsel's claim to fame was that it was a sales flop, not a bad car.

Ford Pinto (they were prone to blowing up if the car got rear ended)

1979-82 Ford Mustang Turbo (unreliable engine due to it self-destructing in a short period of time)

early 80's Ford Escort's (unreliable carbrurators on the engines and they went through alot of recalls)

Many people would place the 1974 Pinto at the top of the list.

But the list should also include the second generation Mustang (1974-1978) and the late 1980's Tempo.

The worse Ford in the history of Ford is the Zephyr. Or maybe the Pony.

All of them, Ford didn't pay attention to their vehicles, instead, they wanted to produce as many as possible, as quickly as possible to get cash, that's why some plants closed, and the European and other car companies blew them away. They have some cars that's quality I must say,,,Mustang, F150, F250, and some diesel trucks maybe your best bet.

how about the ford fiesta
the Edsel was just about 30 years ahead of it's time so the vehicle was a little finicky about how it worked.
