Do you think that the earths supply of crude oil will be exhausted based on the amount of it used daily?

Well, I believe I heard recently that the world is using crude at the rate of ~75Million barrels a day, and the world's proven oil reserves are around 650-750Billion barrels. That means we are using up about 1/10,000th per day, so we have ~10,000 days left at current consumption rates, or around 25 years left. But it is said that there is at least another 650-750Billion barrels that is still undiscovered. This raises the time to perhaps 50 years. However, I agree that it is a fact that we will never, ever run out. It is simply a matter of how expensive it will become. It is sort of like hardwood furniture. In the 1800s, furniture, flooring, and other items made from hardwood were dirt cheap. Now as our old growth forests are becoming more and more depleted, real hardwood furniture is prohibitively expensive for most of us. So it will be with oil.
P.S. Saturn's moon Titan has been shown to be covered with oceans of gasoline. If we run out here on Earth, there is always Titan. However, we will probably be using thermonuclear fusion for most of our energy needs by the time Titan's resources are available to us.

We use the most oil because we've more suitable market then all of us else. also each Tom, Dick and Harry has to have a motorcar. instead of having more suitable gas effective automobiles...
