I own a shop, and have seen this before. The first thing I would look at would be the proportioning valve. It regulates the pressure between the front, and the rear brakes. I would suspect it is full of trash, rust, or has air in the system. If you follow the lines from the master cylinder down, you will come to this valve. It will be mounted on the frame, not far from the master cylinder. Another thing that can cause this is, a bad hose that runs from the caliper to the hard line on the frame. The rubber will go bad, and cause the hose to act like a valve. It will let the fluid go one way, and restrict the return the other way. This causes the brake to lock up at times. This is the usual case if one has been setting for a period of time without being driven. If you pull the drums off the back brakes you may very well find a leak that is getting on the shoes. This will cause the rear brake to grab, and do all kinds of wild stuff. The wheel cylinders have a dust boot over each end of them, and if you pull these back off the cylinder, and it looks wet behind them, then the cylinder has to be replaced because it is leaking. If you take the proportioning valve off and clean it out, flush the line out real good before you reinstall it.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

More diagnosis will be required here as your question is to vague. The first thing to do is get all the wheels off and inspect all the linings to see if anything is worn out or some fluid has been leaked or got on the linings. Also check the friction areas for heat scores, gouges or scoring, warpage and the like. If you just had a brake job done, I would suggest the wrong linings were put on. If this just started happening, think back as to when it started to act up. Did you hit a curb or something like that. Brakes are designed very simply so as not to have a lot of inherent problems so just take a look. If you are not comfortable doing this, take it to a qualified mechanic as this is a safety issue.

need more info on what the car is doing. It could be a number of things like rusted calliper sliders, wrong type of fluid in the break fluid reserve water in the break fluid. If you don't know much about cars than bring it to a mechanic a good one not just some guy that works at a gas station.

Either you have some dawgon good brakes OR....the pressure divider is messing up on you and you are receiving to much line pressure to either the front and or back at any given time. Do they all lock up together?.............
