how sweet... well try to talk to her about it. take her somewhere that just the two of you can be together. if she's really your friend, she will tell you what's on her mind and how she feels. just be open, honest and YOURSELF. I think that's what most people forget... to be themselves. Good luck :)

Either she likes you or she doesn't. Or she hasn't thought about it yet (or thought about it and thought that you didn't like her ;-). So put the idea into her mind and see how she reacts to it.
How? Depends on your style. Tell her you think she's pretty. Or ask her out somewhere a bit different from where you've gone before. Walk with her and take her hand. You know her, what would she like?

I see "used to be" in your comment. So what happened? Did you tick her off? Do something unforgiveable? Or just loose touch?
Fix the flaw that caused the separation. Whether it takes apologizing or just getting reconnected. Be yourself, you were pals prior, so there should be no tips needed.

ask her if she would ever like you like that if you are truly really close friends you can ask her like that if not ask her out to the movies or sometyhing and see how she handels it

Just be like you normaly are but spark her intrest. . .and not in that way. . .If you move to quickly you could lose her for good.
