The boy that was kidnapped for 4 and a half years was stopped by the police by himself and never said anything about him being held by a kidnapper. Why do you think that is? He said he was threatened but when he was alone with police officers didn't he feel safe enough to tell them?

First off, he was a child. Second, I read last week that his captor threatened to kill his parent's if he did leave. I would think that would be pretty powerful to a young kid who had just been snatched off the street.

Maybe he was fearful from being threatened. That stuff can stay in a kids mind. That or maybe he was identifying with his attacker and didn't want to leave. I guess we will never know - only he will.
