It's better that you went for a walk rather than eat the biscuits and tea and not have walked.
If you enjoy your biscuits but still want to lose weight maybe try eating low fat biscuits or some fruit instead.
***TIP - a slim friend of mine told me today her secret to weight loss is carrots. She just eats carrots between meals and doesn't put on any weight.

Goodluck!!

Strictly speaking, yes.
Either lots more exercise and / or diet restriction would do the trick.

For virtually everyone, I think that the only way to diet is to eat a little less, and the best way to keep the weight loss is to accompany the diet with a reasonable amount of exercise.

In Scientific American this week there is an article that suggests that only extreme obesity is of much proven relevance to health. Healthy eating, sleeping, exercise etc. are probably much more important for life and quality of life.

I myself am trying to wean myself off the usual Christmas binge eating. Junk food like biscuits with not enough fibre, vitamins or minerals could hopefully be substituted by some kind of fruit, or fibrous cereal to feed that inner glutton. (Not you - me!)

the cup of tea is fine, but I recommend drinking water to replenish your body, and I would pass on the biscuits.

I go for an hour walk about an hour and a half after dinner. When I return I have at least half a litre of water. (or I take a bottle of water with me)

Good luck.
