Not really - kinda like someone snapping your ear with an elastic band. Quick, only hurts for a split second.

I got my ears pierced when I was little and remeber crying, but I was a kid so that's to be expected. It really all depends on where on your ear you are getting the piercing. Different parts of the ear have thicker cartilage and are more sensitive than others. Your own personal pain tolerance is also a huge factor. I had my nose pierced and hardly felt a thing, wheras others I've talked to found it immenslely painful.

Overall though, I don't think it would be too painful. It just takes a second and you may have a little soreness for a few days, but you'll be fine. Besides, what fun would getting a piercing be without a little pain?

If you're striaght, don't let anyone trick you into getting both ears peirced or your right ear. Go for the left.

It hurts... a very SHARP quick pain. Your ear will turn red within 20 minutes, and the pain should be gone by the next day.
I got my ears peirced when I was... 6, 7, or 8 (can't remember!) and all I know is that I didn't cry, but my eyes started tearing.
If a second grader can get their ears peirced, so can you!
If you get it done professionally, it doesn't hurt that bad. It's a quick needle going through your ear. It sounds worse than it really is.

No, it does not hurt.
It feels like a stapler-type-of-thing going through your ear, but it doesn't hurt because it happens in like, a millisecond and it's over before you know it. It also doesn't bleed.
Make sure the place you go is very clean. You don't want your ears to infect! I'm a girl and I got mine done at Claire's... i'm not so sure a guy would go there for their ears though. :P I imagine you'd go to a tattoo/piercing parlor with all the tough biker guys...

Also. After you get them done, do not change the earrings until at least 6 weeks after you got them pierced. Apply hydrogen peroxide to around the piercing, in the front and back of your earlobe, with a cotton swab daily for the first 6 weeks, and every once in a while after that.

Have funn.

The pain from an ear piercing feeling a like a quick stick of a needle. It's quick and goes away fast. As long as you take care of them, the shouldn't hurt any more after that.

I have my ears pierced 3 times in each side. There's nothing too it. I used to pierce the ears of babies and toddlers and after their inital cry, they didn't seem to care anymore. They were more upset over being restrained than they were the actual piercing.

It hurts less than a hang nail if done correctly. I used a piece of ice to numb it (back in the day!) but with the ear piercing shops in malls it's even faster, safer and not really painful. Make sure you do the right ear, some people moan about the 'gay' ear and it don't matter which side you do , someone is going to moan about it. ; P

It doesn't hurt at all! I was about 4 when I got my ears pierced. I didn't cry, I just screamed a bit. But hey, I was 4. It's just like a really quick pinch. It should get red in about 10mins. But it goes away the next day. Make sure you take proper care of your ears or else it will get infected. My sister's got her ears infected, and when we pulled out the earring, there was a huge ball of dirt, covered in blood. So please..take care of them. I hope this helps! =D

Feels just like when you get a shot at the doctor's office. Make sure to have it done by a professional and you won't feel it until it's done. Also make sure to properly cleanse the area according to the piercer's instructions or you will get an infection that will hurt much more than the piercing. Good Luck.

Doesn't hurt, just nips for a few seconds. My mother had her ears pierced 7 weeks before she died of cancer, 83 years of age, and didn't feel even a pinch. First time she'd had her ears done, so just tell yourself if an 83 yr old lady can cope...you can !

The actually piercing doesn't hurt, it's pretty quick & painless. It's takes a while to get used to having something in your ear if you've never had it pierced before. I started out with a stud in each ear & replaced them with a silver hoop in each ear. Enyoy getting it. It was well worth it.
