To be an Actress??

Question

I would like to become an actress, but the problem is that I dont know where to sign up for new things there doing, so do you know any websites or any place I could sign up for a movie or TV show? And also i cant go any where to sign up so maybe somewhere in Ohio !!??!?

Cool, you know this is a tough road, right? Start reading and studying the craft. There are learning acting sites below. There are agent sites, and audition sites. Also, the SAG, is below, which you would eventually need to join. Depending on your age, you might find some local auditions. Just search the internet constantly. I am giving you some places to start looking, this is not it though. If you are in school, start theater classes, or drama classes. Get into a local theater group.

I would check local community theatres in your area. If your school does a play, that would also be a good place to try. You can't "sign up" for acting jobs. You have to audition for them. I'm not from your area, so I couldn't tell you where to look for auditions, but if there's a civic center nearby I would check there. Maybe ask the drama teacher at your school (if you have one) or someone who would know a little more about your area's specific theatrical auditions.

Look at local theaters first before auditioning for anything in TV or movies. Take acting or voice lessons if possible, or you can do drama club or chorus at your show. If you think you are ready, search Google, Yahoo, etc. for information on auditions.

You and I sound the same. I too am looking to become an actor but I just don't live in a good location for it! I live in a little hick town which as soon as I'm able will leave!
