Hi, I'm new here so you'll have to bear with me. I saw a film approx 15yrs ago, I don't know if it was new then either. I believe it was a thriller. The main part of the story I remember is a couple who adopt/foster a young girl (maybe around 10yrs old?) she could have been called Jenny but I'm not sure. Anyway, she turned out to be quite evil and was turning everyone against the mother figure. I also think that everyone she got on her side had a birth mark on their necks. I remember that they moved into a house that had a fireplace in the you could walk through into another room and I also remember a scene where the mother was being buried alive by large stones??? Possibly by women dressed as nurses or she herself was a nurse.
I know this isn't much to go on but it gave me such nightmares when I was younger I would really love to see it again to see if it really was that scary and why I was so frightened.
Any help would be very appreciated.

im pretty sure that was the horror movie "jennifer"
i saw it about 14 years ago and it freaked th hell out of me
your description sounds about right. espescially the nurse part

It might be the film "Jennifer" from 1978. In this film Jennifer is ostracized at a snooty private school because of her rural, poor background. She is tormented to the point where her only remaining recourse is revenge, using the only method she knows: her psychic control over snakes!
