Ok so after a massive argument with my mother (unreconcilable - I've practically disowned her) I've decided I need to move out A.S.A.P.
I don't want to have to quit college though and I know a part time job wont cover rent.
Is there any way around this? Do you recomend house sharring with friends? will landlords let a bunch of 18 year olds rent a house? I'm not sure they will to be honest.
HELP!

Right ok 1st up -there is absolutely no chance of making it up with the mother at all, just to be clear. I'm not being unreasonable it's just something that has gone too far and we cannot talk it through at all, somplease no more "make up and stay home" answers please.
I just need information on getting a place to stay.
I'm not religious and don't belive in all that rubbish, so church isn't really going to help me, thanks for trying to help though.

Rainbow I understand what you are going through, ask a couple of friends if they are looking for a roommate, or put an ad in your school's newspaper that you are looking to share a apt. with, or go to this website www.craiglist.org, choose the state or city that you live in, then click on housing and look in your area, I'm pretty sure that someone's looking for a roomate! Good luck Rainbow!!

You should really try and work it out with your mother. I know right now it might seem like its not reconcilable but maybe it you let things cool off for a few days it will be. Other than that, you should try to find a job and a cheap place to stay. Looking for roommates or maybe even opting for temporary accommodation like at a ymca or home will help. It might not seem so great but those are you options at 18 when u dont have a job. Maybe there is a friend or relative that would let you stay with them for a while. If u dont have the money to rent a place, try applying for a loan then getting a job to pay it back.
Or you could jsut stay at home.

Can you crash at a friends parents house for a month? I suggest that because just willy-nilly trying to get any place will probably get you into a situation you'll regret. If you have a couple of weeks breathing room to figure it out, that would be good and you'll make a much better choice.

Landlords will let anybody move in to make a buck, make sure you take care of the place as if it were your own. I wouldn't recommend doing it with really close friends though, perhaps another person you're not all that close with that needs a place.

I started my own business when I was in school through BeautiControl. The Spa parties are really fun and relaxing and you really get out of it what you put into it. You decide your own schedule, how much or little you work, you have a lot of flexibility. Plus you also determine how much you can make and how much you can advance.

Let me know if you are interested.

you will have to find a way to support yourself if you want to cut ties to your mother. let me tell you, supporting yourself is not easy especially if you're 18. the world is a rotten place for a girl your age who has no way of paying the rent--there are tons of people waiting to exploit your desparation. have you got any other relatives or friends who can provide you a bed for a little while?
