in most states affirmative action doesnt even exsist anymore do they also complain about illegal white people coming across waters from poland

Affirmative action is racist in its purest form. It's the result of government (mostly guilty white liberals) telling minorities that they are not good enough to compete on their own and that they are not capable of making it without government help. It's one of the highest insults you could give to a minority.

uh touchy subject, ok basics, its not just white people who complain, trust me, my ethics class went nuts on the subject. i think the biggest problem people have with it, is when its used a as crutch. also i think a lot of people believe that we live in a society that has moved on and does not need affirmative action. we are all looking for a fair chance, and i believe that people have abused affirmative action. we have all had hard times, we should all get a fighting chance, i believe there is a better answer. I'm really sick a tired of people abusing me because I'm white and from the south. my best friend is black, and Jewish. i have nothing to be sorry for, i have never wronged another person, for there race, gender, sexual preference, etc.
i dont care if people come to America legally, its the illegal part that i have a problem with. My family is Russian and Irish, we fought long a hard and many of us died to get here legally. its a slap in the face to have a person come here illegally and try to abuse my rights by saying that they have a right to be here, and be protected. for example the illegals who protest to stay here, um hello you dont have the right to protest, your not a citizen here.

Affirmative action tells people that you are inferior. If you (not necessarily YOU), go to get a job that you are not qualified for, you should not get it, plain and simple! If I want to be a fireman but can't carry a man out of a building, why the heck should I get the job just because you HAVE to have a woman in there.

I personally don't know of anyone who complains about it. My personal opionion is that people should be hired based on qualifications and ability, not based on race. The problem is that there are so many racists out there that many minorities would be without jobs because they would be excluded based solely on their race or skin color. Affirmative action is the governments attempt at leveling the playing field. In short there is a place for affirmative action, I just disagree with anyone being hired based on anything other than qualification.

I feel that a job should be given to the person who is most qualified, not because someone is asian or black, a woman or in a wheelchair. The business world is wrought with stiff competition, why should a business be at a disadvantage because they had to fill a certain quota with a certain demographic?

We (white people) are sick and tires of blacks getting jobs they are not qualified for and not being able to fire blacks for misconduct because of fear that we will be sued.As an employer of black people I can tell you that we have a company policy that requires us to keep a minimum of black employees in various positions.It doesn't matter whether are not they are qualified. We still have to interview white people, even though we know we have to hire a black person to fill the spot. And the amount of paperwork and write ups required to let go of a black person is much higher than for a white employee.
And I don't have enough energy to get into the illegal immigrant issue.

Because we are tired of hearing about discrimination, and then being made victims of it. That's why white people don't like it. Now as far as black people, it is really an insult to them. It is saying that they are not good enough to compete with white people. So the real purpose of affirmative action is to promote antagonism between blacks and whites. That's why our politicians devised it.

Welcome to the USA!!! Folks oppose and endorse Affirmative Actions for many reasons, some of them malevolent but suffice to say when you encounter most of the naysayers they have deeper issues that go beyond the harmful effects or worthy merits of Affirmative Action.

OK Negroes say they want to be equal. If that is the case why do they insist on AA. The are contradicting exactly what they are whining about.
