Listen to everything your teacher says in Driver's Ed. When you're taking the written test, just be calm and think about each question. Some are common knowledge and some require some memory or thought. Most of a time if all of the above is a choice it's correct. When doing your hours requirement with a driving instructor, listen to all he says. Take driving VERY seriously. You need to show that you are responsible. You don't need to be perfect to get your permit.

Test your limits slowly. If freeways scare the daylights out of you, work your way up to them with something smaller, or start with them when you know there won't be a lot of traffic. Helps you get used to new speed zones, etc.

dont worry so much about reading the manual. its way too much to remmeber all at once when youre driving and nervous.. just go with your common sense.. and also a good teacher makes all the diffrence, if you get someone you feel nervous with or who is lousy get a new instructor!! i never read a manual when i learned how to drive or to get my license and i am a wonderful driver..

i just got mine too
it is a lot harder than ot looks
start where there are no cars
and make "hypothetical cars"
that way, you hit hypothetical cars and no real cars
also start with a truck
so you dont damage anything when you hit a curb

Yes...You are NOT invincible, you can die, and it REALLY hurts when you get in a car accident. Be careful, do not show off when you are behind the wheel.
