Yes it is possible, but being a vet would certainly help. If you really want to get a government job, don't hold out for the perfect job and be willing to take one at lower level to "get in the door". After you are in the government system, the opportunities are much easier to come by, thus you can then look for the "perfect job" within the governemtn system. BTW you would also have a much better chance to get in if you were willing to relocate to a less desireble location to "get in the door". Good luck!

Yes. However, you get veteran's preference (if you are a veteran) when applying for many government jobs. It really just depends on what kind of job you are applying for.

it is difficult. It has a lot to do with who you know and networking. I am a veteran and still cant get a Govt job.
