When I ask him if he wants one he says we cant afford it(which we can lol)
But we have been having unprotected sex for about 4 months now and nothing.
But I dont know if that means he DOES or DOESNT because if he really didnt then he would cover it up or something right?
And is something wrong with one of us because we have been trying for a while?

Just because he has unprotected sex with you does not mean he is OK with having a child. Many men will have unprotected sex without really thinking of the consequences. I don't understand how you say you both "have been trying for a while" since he doesn't seem to be that invested in the idea.

I am a single mom. I too worried about finances when I found out I was pregnant (which was unexpected and a total shock too). However, things worked out just fine and my son is the love of my life. Sure, you may have to cut back on some things, but it is so worth it. Just make sure you are both emotionally ready. The last thing you want is for your boyfriend to ever resent you or the child because he was not emotionally ready, and/or feels the child takes away financially from the both of you.

it's a huge life changing decision. Think about it rationally and realistically.

I think you shouldnt put pressure on him if he doesnt want to have a baby. A child is a huge responsibility not only because of the money and im sure you deserve a caring and loving guy who can make a good parent. If he says he does not want to, but he is having unprotected sex, i wouldnt think of him as a responsible person. You should not worry. Four months of trying is nothing! Doctors say even a year is completely normal. Im sure theres nothing wrong.

i feel ya on this situation.....when my husband and i first started dating years ago we didnt want kids no matter what!!! BUT now 5 years later, I've found myself wanting one, and I'm not sure if his mind has changed too....its a touchy subject and i feel scared at times thinking that i want a baby and he might not.....I'm trying to ease him into the conversation on having one, but trust me it is taking some time....so just be patient and everything will eventually fall into place. Good Luck!
