her to wake me at 5.30am this morning. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE!!), i wrote a note saying "please wake me at 5.30am" and i left it on her bedside cabinet. I woke up this morning and to my horror saw that it was 9.10am. I was just about to go downstairs and confront her as to why she never woke me when i spotted a note on my bedside cabinet which read " its 5.30am. Wake up"
Was this fair?

Yes, as you said yourself you were too stuborn to end the fight yourself and verbally request that your wife wake you. How 'bout learning from this experience instead of looking for a winner. I used to be like that and found I was more miserable than anything even if I was "right" So I decided its better to be happy than right. And you may want to invest in an alarm clock....

Yes it was fair. And, kinda funny too. Listen this is a good chance to blow it off. Tell her it made you laugh, and your sorry about last night. She should soften up. Use your charm you sly dog and get her back for this a year or two down the line when she least expects it ;-)

Absolutely fair. If you needed to be woken up you could have set any of a multitude of alarms (alarm clock, ipod, cell phone, website alarm on a computer, etc.). If you knew that you needed her to do you a Favor then you should have manned up and talked to her. She was completely and utterly justified for you not taking responsibility for yourself.

Obviously whatever you were getting up for she was gaining nothing from eg if it was working overtime and you were giving her extra money. That would have made a difference to most of us. Good on her!

yes thats funny just laugh it off that shows u how childish it is for both of you to sulk when you do that over a period of time you will build a wall between each other that is hard to tear down.It sounds cheesy but its true don't sulk talk about it.

Maybe it wasn't fair, but it was funny, I think you got the point. It was your pride that kept you from requesting that you be woke up. What's good for the goose is good for the gander....

HAHAHAHA I'm so so sorry to hear you got up late but that is the funniest **** I have every heard! WERE you wrong? did you deserve it!? because if so then its fair. If you needed her to do you a favor you should have opened up your mouth and asked!

2007-01-23 09:18:18 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

Probably not fair but you should have just asked her to get you up don't you have your own alarm clock. You should be responsible for getting ure self up. My fiance and i both have our own alarm clocks because we get up at different times. Suggestion you should probably invest in one.
