can a baby possibly wave byebye ay 61/2-7 months or i this too soon?

If this is something they see often, they will start to mimic it fairly early on. That is not too soon.

No thats notto soon. If you always wave byebye to people leaving while your holding the baby, then it can happen even much earlier than that.

I think so, they generally say you can begin sign language at 6/7 months, and bye bye is basically sign language. Our son could clap on demand at 5 months, so waving early doesnt seem odd.

I just read this in one of my "baby's first year" type books. It says they normally start waving bye-bye between 9 & 10 months.

Not too soon, but what a smart baby! Are there a lot of comings and goings that your baby witnesses? may be why!
