If it's truly a great invention, the media would be interested in seeing a prototype... you could use the media coverage as a springboard to find investors willing to back your invention. If no one appears interested in covering your idea (TV, magazines, Internet, etc.), it's doubtful you'd find an investor as well.
So, give your local television station a call and see if they are interested... call those who cover business or fitness... both apply to you. Maybe you'll get a news-story out of it... get plenty of copies and send the articles to venture capitalist firms around the country. You'll find these firms in nearly every major city... just check the Yellow Pages.

you should contact with the official department that is in charge of registering new inventions. or you may explain a general idea of your equipment to a newspaper provided that they guarantee your right of creation
