I am looking for a utility that will help me make a database of my collection, with out all the messing around with scanning covers etc. I have something that does this for Dvds and Cd's,which checks onlne via the barcodes, but wonderd if there is someting for american comic books too?

Sorry, don't know, but if you do find a way could you let me know as well, cheers, because of having so many (20,000 approx) it would be great to have a record of them all for insurance purposes as well.

To all the people that think this is sad - my collection will be my retirement fund and will leave me very well off indeed when I finally sell them, I could very well retire early at the age of 50 if I wanted to or even earlier - now whos sad?.

Ginger - I have a girlfriend already thanks, she supports me in my collection as it will one day support us.

No idea off hand !!!

Try contacting comic shops as they have a data base for on-line selling.

Alternately buy the book COMIC BOOK CHECKLIST & PRICE GUIDE by kp books.

Its a great idea, they list all comics as other guides, but by each listing they have a tick box, for you to fill in if you own the comic.
