Confidence in your abilities, ideas and personality are what is important. People are naturally accepting of others that are positive, fun and outgoing regardless of what they look like. Once you get involved and others get to know you, more than likely they will be pleasantly surprised at who you are, and what you have to offer to the group. Getting involved and meeting new people is the first step, and the hardest part. Once you get past that, the rest is a breeze! Just be yourself and don't worry about them. I'm sure they felt the same way in the beginning. Everyone starts new somewhere! Give it all you've got!

Make it a point to show that you believe in yourself! If you let others opinions influence you , you are allowing them to hold you back, and not allowing yourself to be who you want to be.

Well, the best thing you could do for your weight is join in on something at school and spend more time dooring extra activities at school or even else where. Sitting at home does not help with the weight and is the main cause of depression. I know I did it for years. I was a bit overweight as a teenager and I was very depressed and I think that part of my problem was myself. So step out of your comfort zone, and do something different. Don't worry about your weight, despite what most people say, the majority of people will except you for who you are as long as you except yourself first.

this is like me, but i just couldnt be bothered joining anything. instead i ended up joining Sea Cadets - its wicked fun. we go on heaps of camps with other cadets from around the country, go rifle shooting [i won a trophy for that], go on courses, fly on airforce planes, go sailing & sooo much more.

i dont know if youre saying youre obese or just self conscious, but i think you should just get over it. or do something about it. join a gym or something, then youll have something to do after school :]

youre worried about people teasing you about your weight?? wake up! we arent all stuck up snobs & bullies.

1) You should never feel strange about the way you look
2) If you feel uncomfortable with your weight you can join a club for healthy life style or sports that can help you loose weight as well as have some fun.

I hope it works out best for you ... good luck
