making state,California, give the state of California health care for everybody? I know big business can do it and hospitals and doctors can contribute about 4% to this cause...will it happen?

We are the greatest county,so there are no reason why we could not have health care for everyone letter each person pick the doctor they want.

I am not sure that Massachusetts can afford it. They are already weasling about exactly who is covered and for what. That decision was an election year move and now the reality of Massachusetts (meaning taxpayers) paying for it is starting to get some inquiries. Massachusetts has a long history of unfunded state mandates (like the state will reimburse for special education that they are requiring towns to pay for - which has not been happened for decades) so this generous move hasn't yet become a workable reality.

Mass can't afford it. They will be loosing businesses and population because of the new tax burden.
Remember no matter who they say is paying for it the consumer is the one who really does. The cost gets passed on to us through higher taxes, more costly consumer products and more expensive services.
Their is no such thing as free health care.

First of all it is not the governments job to supply healthcare. it sure is not big businesses job to supply you with healthcare. Where is personal responsibility? Why does everyone feel they are entitled to something at someone elses expense?

It could if enough people got excited enough to pressure their politicians, demand universal health care and create the political will to make it happen.
