Start>Run> Type CMD> Type IPCONFIG in the Dos Promt and note the default gateway
Type the Default gateway in the Address bar of your browser and you will find your router Manager page, on there you should have an option for wireless. go to the wireless settings and turn Encryption on, then without your encryption key nobody can connect to your wireless network

Put in the url bar 192.168.1.1 or whatever the default address of your router is.
Then the default user and password and go to the WEP key generator and follow the instructions.

Go to the router Setup screen. You should have an IP address in your instructions, but it is usually HTTP://192.168.1.1. Select WIRELESS | WIRELESS SECURITY. Then you can set up WPA (best security) or WEP. I tell people that the best setup is WPA Personal, TKIP. Good luck.
