Salaried jobs get paid one set amount once a month. It does not matter how many hours are worked as long as you are meeting the employer's expected minimum. However, they can expect you to work quite a few more hours. Most salaried personnel receive pay increases annually, so your second point is not correct.

Certain types of jobs are considered exempt from overtime (salaried). This means the employer does not have to pay extra for hours over 40 per week. In addition, they can expect you to work any number of hours for the same monthly salary every month.

salaried workers are not paid by hourly wage. if paid by the hour, then any time on the job over and above, i believe, 35 hours per week would be paid 1.5 times the amount he makes an hour. so if he was paid $10/hour and worked 38 hours that week, he would get ($10 x 35 = $350) + ($15 x 3 = 45) = $395, less taxes, of course!

if you were salaried at the same pay, you could work 38 hours and only get $350 minus taxes.

nothing in life is certain except death and taxes!!!

A Salary isn't based on hrs or how much you work. You agree to work as much as they tell you for a set amount. If you agree to $300 a week then every week you will get 300$ even if you work 20 hrs or 60hrs. And it depends on the company if they pay you weekly or monthly. Raises are based on the company, they can choose to keep paying you the same or give you the raise.

You get a certain amount a year no matter how much you work. Say you get $30,000 a year. You would get paid $2,500 a month (minus taxes obviously) It's not for the entire time you work there. You can still get raises. It just guarantees you will get that much each month. I get salary plus bonus's. So i will always get a certain amount each pay plus whatever my bonus is.

they get fixed payment ( beside bonus and etc) at the beginning or the last day of the month. This is the normal state if the company is going well otherwise this system may violate
