It has been like 60 million years since we had dinosaurs running about. Also, we evolved from the small mammals that were living at the time and not from the dinosaurs. There are some who believe that birds are dinosaur descendents. There is some evidence that points that way.

Read the book 'The Ancestors Tale' by Richard Dawkins, that will answer all your questions about life on Earth, and how all life forms are related to each other. Most recent common ancestor of reptiles and mammals goes back over 250 million years. Dinosaurs were reptiles. We are mammals. Dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago at the Cretaceous / tertiary (K/T) boundary most likely caused by an asteroid strike off what is now the Yutacan peninsula. All this information is easily findable.

The official line is that mammels evolved from a smaller type of dinosaur long before the dinosaurs died out.
For millions of years mammels were no more than rodent type creatures like voles and hedgehogs. When the dinosaurs died out, mammels swiftly moved into the vacancies in the natural order that were left, and mammels evolved into all shapes and sizes to take the places left behind.
Apparently there is proof of this, but I find it hard to take.
The only mammel that even looks like it could descend from dinosaurs is the Rhinoceros.
There is nothing about mammels at all in general that at all resemble reptiles. You can see the link between fish and amphibians, and between anphibians and reptiles, and between reptiles and birds.
But I see nothing between mammels and any other group of animals on the planet.
Maybe its just me.
Its possible that while all other life eveolved from the sea, mammals evolved on land.
Who knows.

We definitely did not evolve from dinosaurs - or from anything else for that matter.
Dinosaurs lived quite recently. The word dinosaur was only invented in 1841. Before that we called them dragons. People all over the world have accounts of dragons. The Chinese include it as part of their calendar - the welsh have it in their flag.
this site has many examples of pottery, etc of depictions of dinosaurs - by the people that presumably saw them!

Not sure why people think they died out millions of years ago. Dinosaur soft tissue has even been found in fossils - hardly 65 million years old, and quite a surprise to the scientists that found it!

There are many well documented accounts/descriptions of dinosaurs. For example the bible includes detailed descriptions of Behemoth and Leviathan in the book of Job. There are many secular accounts also. 'After the Flood', by Bill Cooper has many documented examples.

If you go back long enough the first fish to crawl on land etc. are common ancestors. We did not evolve directly from reptiles though.:)
Oh, Dinasours do not live long enough for you to see one.
Below is a good link for Dinosaurs.

Absolutely not. We came from another branch of species, the mammals, that started to form before the dinosaurs dissapeared.
If you see a crocodile, you are seeing a dinosaur descendant.
The birds seems to be also dinosaurs descendant.
The big dinnosaurs lived from 400 million years to 65 million years.
The cause of their extintion is not clear.
