Wow so many to choose from... D. Cook is good. but Jim Gaffigan is probably the best. Others are Carlin's seven dirty words, Carlos Mencia.
Personally I like Nick Swardson and Demetri Martin. Basically stay away from Blue Collar.

I've seen quite a bit... Carlin probably wins..
However. John Oliver (daily show) did a 15-20 bit that was word for word the absolute best.
Mitch Hedgeburg comes in at a close third (we was very off that day, was being heckled and close to the end)

I loved Rosanne's last HBO special " Blonde and Bit**in."
" Bill Cosby as Himself" is dynamic.
But Richard Pryor has it hands down. Best Comedian ! He took on serious issues without
losing his Humor. He really put it out there.
Too bad We had to lose Freddie Prince so young.

So many great comics,Richard Pryor #1, Mitch Hedberg, Ron White, Rodney Carrington,way too many to chose from but Pryor was the best and Sam Kinison was great too.
