Sony made three systems: Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast. Sega released all the sonic games and released a sega collection for the PS2 and you can download some sega games on the Wii.

Basically the saturn and dreamcast didn't have as good games as the genesis had, which was sega's best system. There's a book with articles about it called high score, its a great gaming history read.

Sega still makes games but not consoles anymore. The make games for 2K sports, like NBA 2k7. They don't make a football game anymore because Madden bought the rights to all NFL players.

You probably mean Sega. They are still kind of around. They just left because the never switched to disc. BUT. if you buy a wii you can play sega games on it. they still release new ones daily. The wii can also play NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, and Turbo Graphix.

They got pummeled in the console market, with a few failures like Saturn and Dreamcast that just weren't that innovative. They make games now. No more systems.
