Why are they allowed to smoke in that house, if smoking in public places r banned. Just out of curiosity? It would drive me mad.

I just imagine the house would be full of Ciggy smoke, and that makes me barf. Its also disgusting to See Joe smoke so many, everytime u see her shes puffung away. And for the guy that said its public prop... It may well be, but those people should have a choice...

Moorglade.... I DO drink. But my feelings are towards the non smokers in the house, passive smoking etc... Drink does NOT harm anyone else or harm someone elses health UNLESS it causes arguements etc, which is a totally different subject. MY QUESTION WAS ABOUT SMOKING not drinking, therefore you answered wrongly

Smoking in public places isn't banned in England until July. But even if it was banned, the BB house still counts as a residence, not a public place as the public don't have access to it.

It's not a public place - it's private property so the ban wouldn't affect Big Brother.
I can't wait for the smoking ban in England personally, but it would still be unfair to ask smokers not to smoke in what is essentially their house for the time being.

i guess you don't smoke and everyone has the right to a smoke free house...but....who cares, they are in there to be lab rats in some sort of sadistic public experiment and they agreed to be there so let them suffer(by the way i'm an ex-smoker and it would drive me mad too).

I do not drink alcohol but I do smoke ciggies. Why does it not upset you as much to see this mob, aswell as other 'mobs', drinking until they are objectional and rude?
Where are your concerns that the drinking in this house is not a bad influence for our children?
Or do YOU drink, but do not smoke?

REMEMber last year how Pete, Maggot, Preston and co were smoking at least ten times as much as this year. ok, Dirk is a cigar fan, thank god for a garden.
i agree, i'd go beserk as i only enjoy a roll up out on the balcony, and can't stand others' smoke!

In the standard BB house they are not but since they are 'celebrities' I suppose they made demands that they would only come on if tyhey were allowed to smoke, just like there are no cameras in the bathrooms.
