Just the other day I saw an ad for a CLOTHES store, on which a naked woman's back was printed! What the hell? Where is the product you're selling?? What should make this appealing to me as a consumer who's searching for clothes? Certainly not the complete opposite! A woman that has none!

Another example is an ad where there was a naked woman in the tub and the water slowly disappeared so she would appear to us. Do you know what the product was?? Mineral water for dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!! The dog drank the water!!!

Do you think this is good for sales or you think it's immoral, unethical or whatever?

I think is unnecessary and not very creative unfortunately we live in these times when sex sells. I judge ads by how funny or clever they are. I also hate it when there's a sex scene in a movie that doesn't add anything to the plot. It's too bad though I have nothing against sex.

Good for sales. Sorry, if a commercial leaves a mental imprint in my brain that makes me "excited" every time I see that product, I will be a lot more likely to buy it. Immoral/unethical... no. The people in the commercial are all willing participants, and the viewers are buying the products for more reasons than just the free peepshow.

It's appalling. I like porn, but naked people belong in the home behind closed doors and windows. NOT in your face.

The place where it bothers me the most is in motorcycle mags. Fine, buy your Easy Rider (or whatever) if you want to look at skanks on bikes. But keep them out of the legit mags.

I mean really. What woman in her right mind is going to ride a bike in a bikini and heels? It's so ludicrous.

Yes, I know women DO. But I said "in her right mind."

Wow, I got a little ranty. But I feel strongly about this. What kind of message does that send? About women and about motorcycles and appropriate gear to wear when riding?

I'll go with "whatever". I personally think that it is ridiculous, but apparently, I am not the demographic that buys whatever they are selling. You know "sex sells". Cute puppies sell also, but I am really into dogs, so they might hook me with cute puppies.

They know that sex sells, that's why we always see it. There main concern is corporate profit, not immorality.

Sex certainly does sell, or else companies would stop using it. But I am against it, and I think it desensitizes us if we are constantly bombarded with sexual images.
