Take some tylenol and relax. Your body is just getting ready for labor and the cramps are probably from the baby dropping into position. If they get really painful call your doctor just in case.

It sounds like you are having contractions if it feels like menstrual cramps in the lower abdomen. and back. It means that the baby is coming soon that is the body's way of pushing him down further and dilating the cervix. It can take a few days to a few more weeks before it is time. If they get very regular like 5-10 mins apart call the doc. If the mucus plug comes out call the doc. But if you have not passed the mucus plug or they are not really close then just wait. It won't be long. You can speed it up by walking. My first preg. I was having the pains for 2 days and they would not get closer than 30 mins apart so I walked about 2 miles on the track and then They got 10 mins apart and I lost my mucus plug and went into labor a few hours later.

Low rectal pressure can mean that the baby is moving into position for birth or that you are in labor.Mine was while I was in labor. If your not sure if it is Braxton Hicks or if you are in labor my Dr office recommends that you empty your bladder because a full bladder can cause contractions.Drink 2-3 glasses of fluids because dehydration can cause contractions. If neither one of those helps lay down for an hour an count the contractions. If you have 6 or more in an hour they recommend you go see them or to the hospital.Your doctor may have different ideas though so I would contact your doctor and see what they say.

I did the same thing. With my first I had Braxton hicks for a week. It hurt so bad I drove the nurse and doctors mad. I even went in to the ER. I do not care what anybody says Braxton hicks can hurt real bad. And you realy think your in labor.
Now after I found out I was not having my baby And it was set in my head i was only having Braxton Hicks. I went home and took a bath like the nurse told me to do. And then I made cookies. It was relaxing to bake. I never enjoyed it before. But for some reason the nesting kicked in. With every new pain i took a deep breath and smelled the cookies. It helped me get my mind off of it.
Good luck and try to find what works for you.

I think you should just wait it out and talk to the doctor. But I wouldn't bet on the doctor being too helpful. He/she will probably just say it's normal, and your uterus is prepping for labor. Which is true.
Now for my opinion...I'm 38 weeks with my second child and the last couple days have been experiencing the exact same thing. Except last night when I laid down, the contractions didn't stop for about 20 minutes. Since I've had one kid already, I know that for me, this means my body is about ready. When I lay down and the contractions never stop (at least with my first) and they're a little painful, that means real labor is finally starting. Your body is just gearing up for it, and I would say with period like cramps non-stop, you're not that far away (maybe a week, but I'd guess less).
Are you having thicker and more discharge than usual? I know my contractions are being productive because it gets blood tinged and sometimes brownish when your cervix is thinning and dilating. That's when it's like, "WOOHOO, progress!" Especially if that progress is being made without much discomfort to you.
Anyway, best of luck, it sounds like your time is soon!

If the pain persists or gets worse, definitely call your doctor. I'm not a doctor, but I've had this happen. The baby could have dropped into position for birth, thus the pressure. If you are not concerned that it is an emergency, mention it to your doctor tomorrow. If you feel something is "just not right", call the doctor just to see if they think you should come in. And by all means, if ou begin bleeding, the pain becomes unbearable, or (obviously) your water breaks, go to the hospital, calling your doctor on the way. Good luck!

O i c. Well just in case you were not aware. Dairy products such as milke, eggs, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc. They give you cramps bad. I dont know but they have some sort of product in dairy items that give painful cramps. i know what you mean. Too much greasy food gives you gas and minimal cramps. So if you cut down on dairy products and greasy food then it would less the cramps you have. It worked for me and i dont get cramps when im on my period or not. I dont even need midol. Hope you feel better

You can try to wait it out if you feel comfortable doing so... My contractions were non-stop and pretty regular from Sep 16th-18th. I didn't deliver until the 19th of September.
When you have to stop walking/talking to concentrate on breathing; that's when you're in labor! At least for me - that was the case.

Um, I haven't had this issue but I think maybe you should take something like Midol or Tylenol Or put a hot waterbottle over your stomach for the cramps.Maybe a hot bath or a brisk walk will help. I hope this helps and you get better
