Respectfully I think at some point you gotta put your degrees to work. In fact, you're in a pretty good spot right now. no degree ever made a photographer or graphic designer better. The good ones just set out to do it! Got out there everyday and tried to make it happen. With your communications degree and marketing training you shouldn't have any trouble getting someone to notice your artistic contributions. I think (and you asked this) it would be a step back. just delaying your contribution. Start doing your thing and forget about school. I do however wish you success and fullfillment in whatever you chose.

Go for the Certificate...or just take a couple of courses to keep abreast of what's going on. Don't need Master's to become a good graphic artist, photographer, etc. Focus on whatever your passion is and not give the impression you are majoring in "school." Best of luck!

Yes -- it is going backwards. EIther just take classes to learn what you need (and don't get a degree or certificate) or get another master's degree.
The exception to this would be if you needed a certificate to get a job (like a teacher's certificate). Since this isn't the case for photography -- just take a few photography classes

OK. First of all getting a second degree is definitely going back because you have a first degree so I suggest you go for Master's or Certificate.

it is been time-honored to take position, although the circumstances are continually dazzling. for instance, an older human being of severe success even with his lack of an undergraduate degree will be admitted to a graduate software. for most human beings, the bachelor's degree is really required. For one element, medical faculties no longer purely require the MCAT, in addition they require that you've accomplished each and each of the pre-med classes. And any graduate/professional software needs evidence that you're a directed, objective-oriented human being who's in all probability to finish the graduate degree. One piece of evidence that counts is that you accomplished your undergraduate degree.

I say go for the certificate - for Graphic Arts unless you are going to run your own business the technical skills are what you need; not the whole electives and all that - you already have those. Plus it's less expensive. Good luck

It's not going backwards, but it's a waste of time. I'd go for secondary classes if I were you. Certificate is probably the better idea.
