The human larynx rests in a frame of cartilage bound by ligaments and muscles. At the front is the thyroid cartilage, creating the lump at the front of the neck, known as the laryngeal prominence or more commonly as the Adam's apple. The lump, or protrusion, is caused by the angle of the thyroid cartilage surrounding the larynx.
Or so they say......so why don't women have them??

There are many women who DO have Adam's Apples just as prominently as men, and there are also many men who have no visible Adam's Apple.
As you point out, the 'core' of an Adam's Apple (pardon the pun) is the larynx. Everyone's larynx gets larger as they grow, and a larger larynx makes a person's voice deeper. Which is why children have higher-pitched voices than adults, and also why most women have higher-pitched voices than men.
Much of the difference between women and men usually arises during puberty. The flush of hormones surging through a typical teenager's body causes all kinds of changes, most of them different for men and women. This is just an example of one of them - most men develop a slightly larger larynx than most women at that time, and the cartilage plates that surround and protect it are likewise enhanced, becoming a larger Adam's Apple.
Some people have some of that cartilage shaved off for cosmetic reasons. Most of them do okay afterward, so it appears that the Adam's Apple doesn't really do too much anyway.
If you're looking for a possible evolutionary reason for such a development, it's probably centered more around being able to tell a man's voice from a woman's voice than anything else. But that's just complete guesswork.

i come across the guy warm with the help of how he holds himself - his demeanor... in the beginning up look, i might say it does not be a activate or off. For me, it "warm" is interior the guy. And for me, character (not a participant, not somebody who thinks they're the s#$@ and somebody who isn't a participant) is what's warm. An adam's apple isn't something extra effective than visual charm subjects. a woman/woman could have an interest in extra effective than basically that.

women have apples, its just not obvious or diminished .. like male breats they r there but they not too big.
sex hormones play role in this things and man men dont hve obvious apples and many women have obvious apples..
after showing all this sum of knowledge in your question 'introduction' i would assume ur question would be much more complicated.. its like saying: AIDS is caused by this and this and the reason is this ...etc ... then ur question be what is a virus!!!!

On average, men have larger larynxes than women so they appear more prominent. This is why men, on average, have deeper voices than women.
