It really depends on where you have the baby and if you have a vaginal birth or c-section. I would call the hospital and ask.

It depends...my aunt had health insurance and it still cost them $6,000 to have a c-section. It's probably between $6,000 - $12,000 depending on how the pregnancy goes.

If you are pregnant and you don't have insurance you can always apply for assistance. I applied for MediCal because we just needed a little help, and they ended up paying for the whole pregnancy, ultrasounds, birth, etc. Also, my child is covered for 1 year. Just go to your local department of social services.

Good luck.

If you can't figure out how expensive babies are WITH insurance then you shouldn't even be considering being a parent until you know how costly being a responsible parent is.

That means no welfare and you supporting your own family...you popping out babies is not my responsiblitiy...

I'm sick of welfarees sucking up my tax money...don't you think I would love to quit my job and have someone pay my bills???

I do not have any insurance and for my doctor, visits, labor and delivery it is going to cost me 2500.00 for the hospital use and a 2 day stay and an epadural (sp?) is going to run around 5000.00 that is a labor with no complications at all. Good luck, check into medicade you might qualify. We made too much money per month to qualify but at least try. Good Luck
