Yes, you could do a nano tank with a couple of small fish, and maybe a crab or shrimp.

The problem with changing a 15 gallon freshwater tank into a saltwater tank is the price. Many people love the look of saltwater fish, but they don't realize how hard it is to maintain. You will need to spend a bit of money to buy all the necessary corals, and life in your tank, and then after all that, which is pretty pricey, you will only have room for one saltwater fish. Not sure if it is worth it, but if you have money to throw around, then go for it! :)

If it is just for fish an no corals, you may be ok. Make sure you cycle it for a week or so. You can purchace bottled cycle enhancers at your pet stores. Start with damsels, their cheap and are good to get started with. You should have at least 1.5 to 2.5 watts per gallon so the fish don't shock from their previous home. I have a 75 & 20 gallon reef setup. I just stuck some live rock in with the new water in the 20 gal. and was up and going in a few days.

sure you can. i have an eclipse 12 gallon reef tank. but i have to tell you that i have more problems keeping it stabilized than i do with my 30 & 40 gallon reef tanks, which practically run themselves. but if you're willing to spend the time & money to keep a nano tank running then go for it. just be sure you do lots of research BEFORE you start the tank up.

you can definetly use it as a saltwater but you will have to check it often. i have a 10 gallon salt tank with 4 fiddler crabs. for actual fish it is different because they grow bigger than my crabs ever will so id say at the most 3 fish that grow up to the most 3 inches.

Yes, but you would be very limited on what to put in. 1 small fish is all you could put in. A small goby, and a small species of clown are pretty much your only options.

with a 15 gallon, try either a small octopus or maybe some sea horses.
