You have to notify the parents or gaurdian, they just have to kno, dont need permission

Sad question. Wow, if someone is under 18, not married, pregnant, I would hope she would have enough faith in her mom, dad, grandma, aunt, Friends mom, teacher, someone to talk to them first. Why would she worry what the state of Maryland had to say about the subject, I would think she would be more concerned about the Grandparents feelings on the matter. Or, what about the Father of the Baby, or his parents? She should talk to her parents, after all, they are the ones that will be supporting her until she is 18. Right?

maryland requires that at least 1 parent or legal guardian be notified of the abortion. this doesn't mean that the parent has to actually consent to the procedure.

Technically yes, but if you doctor decides that your abortion is necessary (which if you have a good doctor means that you just convince him that you really don't want to tell your parents.) than he can perform it without getting parental permission
