You think being compared to a whale in bed is bad?

My other half says that making love to me is like having a wardrobe fall on top of her & someone has left the key in the lock!

What you do in the bathtub with your whale of a girlfriend is your own affair. Why would whales be any more similar to humans than other mammals? We are a long distance from whales on the evolution tree so it is most unlikely.

I'm not sure exactly what your asking. I think maybe your girlfriend was referring to sex being enjoyable or getting pleasure from sex. The only animals that find sex enjoyable besides humans are cetaceans (dolphins, porpoises, and whales). As a matter of fact two male dolphins will sometimes even simulate copulation by rubbing together...the only reason for this being...it feels good.

Of course not. Dolphin breed like whales, so if that were the case...dolphin would be JUST as close to human mating styles as whales. There are even documented cases of same-sex MONOGOMOUS life-long dolphin relationships.

Do whales mate face to face (stomach to stomach)? I did find one source that some female whales will have sex with multiple males simultaneously...whale threesomes!!

considering our use of arms and legs, that we're not usually submerged in water, and the shockingly candid depictions of other land mammals they show on animal planet or discovery... i'm gonna say no.

Dolphins have sex for fun not just to have babies, I think that's what she meant.
