I am doing a workshop and have a week to choreograph the dance. All i have been told is that the group will be mixed and if it was the same as last time then they will be year 4 or 5 (england). I used 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King' last time and don't want to use the same music. The theme is disney...modern disney or animated is acceptable. thanks

Use Disney on Parade, its up beat, and has a good cathcy beat. I have a dancing school of over 220 kids, ranging in ages, and we did this in our annual show at our local theatre, it went down a treat. The music is from the Disney World parades that happen on Main Street within the resort. Let me know how it goes! How exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about Aladdin? Like "Friend Like Me", "One Jump Ahead" or "Prince Ali". Those are some fast songs. The songs from Tarzan are all upbeat and easy to dance to because of all of those drums. The song when the animals are in the camp would be a good one. It's called "Trashin' the Camp" and has a lot of cool sounds in it. "Zero to Hero" in Hercules is cool too. But of any, I'd go with something from Tarzan because of the drums and beats that are easy to dance to. Different sounding too.

Have them sing songs! Fun, simple ones. Also, bring in some simple instruments. A triangle was one of my favorites when I was a kid - popular with the whole class, to, so I suggest bringing stuff like that. If you have any musical talent, bring your instrument and play for the kids. Ask them to sing the lyrics! It might inspire them.
