OH you're in a tough situation. First I think you ahould try and convice you rbrothers to tell them what hapened... maybe he can leave out the drunk part.... he can say that he had a party and his friend brokethe vase.
Or you can say it... if you leave out the drunk part hough maybe they wn't get so made so just say that your brothers friend broke it..
oh and by the way, don't turn out like your brother. He is taking advantage of you by putting you in this situation. He needs to fess up and admit what he did. He should have never thrown the party he's just setting a bad example for you. DOn't turn out like him!

You don't have to lie for your brother. It's good that he's nice to you and that you care about him and don't want him to get in trouble, but it's not right to lie.
And you won't have to "tell on him," because when your parents get back they will notice the vase is missing/broken and they will ask about it. If they ask you, just tell them to ask your brother about it. That way you aren't "telling on him," but you are giving him a chance to be brave and tell the truth.
Getting in trouble and accepting a punishment isn't always a bad thing... it can show that you've learned a lesson and have become a better and more mature person. Ask your brother who his hero is, and then ask if that hero would lie. Maybe it will help inspire your brother to be brave and truthful.

Believe it or not truth is always the best policy. What your 16 year old brother did was wrong. He had a party without your mom and dads permission and then to make it worse he had alcohol at the party. Your brother will get mad at you but that will go away after a while. Your parents will be proud of you for telling the truth. I know as a father of three girls I am glad to know that they will tell me the truth.

Tell your parents! Your brother needs to learn more respect for your mom and dad. And he shouldn't ask you to lie. If you lie and get caught they will lose trust in you as well as him! And believe me, they will eventually find out the truth! Parents have a way of doing that! I know it's hard, because you want your brother to like you, but at the cost of your morals? That's not right!

Your parents really need to know that your brother had a party and his friend got drunk. Your brother could do something stupid like this again. Something worse could happen than a broken vase. Somebody could die, or the house could get on fire, because your brother is not mature enough to be responsible. Your parents need to know that they can't leave him alone that long in the house.

i'd tell him. perhaps confessing will make issues more suitable. because it stands now, you broke the vase and lied about it. he will actually locate out, if he become indignant then he's really going to call the corporation to ***** and demand charge for the cost of the vase. i do not see the way you've a lot determination except to step up and take duty. as well, someone ought to actual lose their pastime over this, all because you don't need to face as a lot because the outcomes.

Tell your parents the truth. Your trust with them is more important than covering for your brother and his non-responsible friends.

well let me tell you this im a parent to of two boys and if one of them did something like that and both of them kept that lie away from me, to me, both of them would get in deep trouble. you need to tell your parents about what happen so you wont get in trouble for your brother, its better if you keep that trust with your parents then loosing it, later your parents aren't going to believe you or trust you hope thats not what you want, now about your brother getting mad at you oh well he will get over it!! hes your brother, brothers and sister get over stuff like that. would you, like your parents to lie to you all the time for your parents to tell you nothing but lies no right so go and do the right thing, they mite get upset with you for trying to cover him but they wont be mad at you.. good luck

If you don't tell your parents the truth and they later find out that you lied to them, they won't trust you. It's not your fault that your brother chose to do the wrong thing, so he has to suffer the consequences of his actions.

If your parents ask then tell the truth if they dont then dont tell. Let your brother know that if they do ask you will not lie but you would not be the one to tell them.
