No, that's so draconian. An iced tea or a trip to the grocery store does not require permission. However, bigger things like a new car or several hundred dollars of cookware does. I mean, one person may take care of the bulk of the finances, but it's a two-way street. The spouse has to realize how much money is there or isn't there and do the prudent thing like putting off shopping sprees during a tough time.

Talk to my ex-husband about randomly spending thousands of dollars without my knowledge on cars and motorcycles.

Allowance..wha?? My mom stays home and she has the same access to funds and accounts that my dad does. I think it's possessive and controlling for a man to put his wife on an "allowance"--she is a grown woman, and the word implicates a child given a small weekly amount.

A marriage should be an equal partnership. If the family is on a budget then they should both spend accordingly, but allowances and permission are measures to control the woman. C'mon are you that insecure?? Grow a pair and start respecting women.

Most of the women I know work, and make their own money. So, does that still apply ??? I bet anything you're a submissive single pussy man. No hair on your face, or genitailia yet. LOL. I bet your Mommy spanks you, and it gets you off. I've read all your questions, and in fantasy it's fun to be a sub sometimes, but in reality, it's an equal world out there young boy. ~~~~
I think you need to bend over, and let me spank you right now. That's exactly what you need young man. Then, you're going to stand in the corner until I tell you to sit down. You're not going to drive a nice car, or put a computer chip into your gf's car. You're not going to tell any female she has to quit her job, you're not going to control a female going to the mall, and, now, you're going to give up your allowence, and give it to all the women in Yahoo Answers, and if you don't, We're going to put a diaper on you, and parade you all over Yahoo. I think you need to meet a real WOMAN. So come to Sybil, and let me have you for a few days,. and I bet your questions will change, RIGHT YOUNG MAN ????? ~~~~~~~~

What century are you from? A housewife does everything around the house so the husband doesn't have to. That is her job, so her and the husband should split things equally. That what marriage is all about equality not domination.

If she is running the household then she should have free access to the family funds and she should be responsible enough to spend it reasonably but a treat for herself every now and then doesn't seem like that big of a deal and what Neanderthal makes his wife account for every cent that she spends and why should she have to ask if she wants a pack of gum, that's a pretty outdated theory dude, get into this century!!

relationships are supposed to be 50/50. Wives are not children who have to do their chores for money. I would leave a man that I would have to ask permission for to do anything, execpt for something that takes a decision of both of us.

I think that each partner shouldhave a set amount that they agree on together that EACH can spend. My husband and i AGREE on $50 a week. He used to buy cigarettes with his, now fun stuff. I generally shop with mine.

I get $75 a week from my hubby to clean the house. I don't feel bad about it either because if I didn't do it than he would pay someone else to.

So is your wife a high spender or what? Have a talk and have her discuss what she is going to buy. Do you guys have kids? If she is taking care of you and the kids all day...Hell give her a copule hundred a week! It is a lot of work!
